Whether it’s poolside splashes, accidental drops in the lake,or simply enjoying music in the shower,a waterproof floating bluetooth speaker lets you enjoy your favorite sounds without fear. Many models boast an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning they can withstand submersion in water for a specific amount of time. What to Look for in a Floating Bluetooth Speaker: A Buyer's Guide
Choosing the right floating bluetooth speaker involves considering several factors. Here's a breakdown of the key features to keep in mind:
- Waterproof Rating: As mentioned earlier, the IP rating is crucial. Look for speakers with at least an IPX7 rating for reliable waterproofing. For extra protection against dust and sand, an IP67 rating is preferable.A submersible speaker goes beyond the typical floating models, designed to function even when fully underwater for limited periods. * **Sound quality:** Don't sacrifice audio clarity for waterproofing. Look for speakers that deliver a balanced sound profile with clear highs, rich mids, and a decent bass speaker response. Features like stereo sound enhance the listening experience, creating a more immersive soundscape.
- Battery Life: Nobody wants their music to cut out mid-party. Choose a speaker with long battery life, ideally offering at least 8-10 hours of playtime on a single charge. Some models boast impressive battery life, lasting upwards of 20 hours or more.
- Bluetooth Range: Ensure the speaker has a decent bluetooth range, allowing you to move freely without losing connection. A range of 30-50 feet is generally sufficient for most scenarios.
- Durability: outdoor adventures demand a rugged speaker. Look for models made from durable materials that can withstand bumps, drops, and exposure to the elements.A durable floating bluetooth speaker will last longer and provide better value in the long run.
- Floating ability: While seemingly obvious, check reviews to make sure that the speaker does, in fact, float reliably underwater. Some speakers may claim floatation but sink easily with the slightest wave.
- Additional Features: Consider extra features that might enhance your experience, such as:
- **LED lights:* For creating ambiance and visual appeal. * Built-in Microphone: For hands-free calling. **Speakerphone Capability:* For convenient communication. TWS (True wireless Stereo) Pairing: Allows you to pair two speakers for an even more immersive stereo sound experience. * **Floating speaker dock:** Some speakers can be docked for charging and secure placement.
