Factors to Consider when Choosing a Bathroom Bluetooth Speaker
Not all shower speaker options are created equal. To make an informed purchase, consider these key factors:
-
Waterproof Rating: Look for an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IPX7 or higher. This means the speaker can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Ideally, for use near the shower, you'll want at least IPX7 or better. Some speakers even float, which is a great feature.
-
Sound Quality: Consider the size of your bathroom and your personal preferences. A loud bathroom speaker might be necessary for larger spaces, while a balanced sound profile is preferable for audiophiles. Look at decibel ratings if you need high volume specifically.* Portability: Do you want a small waterproof speaker that you can easily move from room to room, or a larger, more stationary bathroom speaker with suction cup for the shower wall?
-
Battery Life: Consider how long you typically spend in the bathroom and how frequently you'll be able to charge the speaker. A long battery life bathroom speaker is essential for extended listening sessions or all-day use.
-
Connectivity: Ensure the speaker has a stable Bluetooth connection and, ideally, a good range. Some models also offer FM radio functionality (bluetooth speaker with FM radio for bathroom) or the ability to connect via AUX cable.
-
Durability: Bathrooms can be humid, and the possibility of drops exists. Consider the construction of the speaker. Is it made of resilient materials that can withstand the elements?
-
Features: Some speakers have built-in microphones for calls (bluetooth speaker with mic for shower),while others boast features like suction cups for easy mounting (suction cup speaker) or integrated lighting.
-
Price: Determine your budget and look for a speaker that offers the best value for your money. There are many cheap bluetooth speaker for shower options available, but be sure to prioritize quality and reliability.
